Story of the
from VIZZINI FIELDS to wilsons road, MOrnington
Giuseppe Ferraro was born in the fertile hills of Vizzini, a farming village in southeastern Sicily known for its prickly pears, olives, and sun-ripened produce.
Vizzini—once a Greek settlement and later a Norman stronghold—has always been a crossroads of culture and culinary tradition. For centuries, its people have made their living growing and sharing the bounty of the land.
Today, those same Sicilian values of flavour, family, and tradition shape everything we do at Ferraro’s – Taste of Sicily. Nestled in the heart of Mornington and proudly serving the Mornington and Mount Martha communities, we bring the spirit of Sicily to your table—one slice at a time. Every stone-based Sicilian pizza, every slow-simmered sauce, is handcrafted with heart, honouring the land Giuseppe came from—and the one we now call home.
City of Catania

Town of Vizzini

from THE CATNINA MARKETS to THE MORNINGTON MARKETS
Anna Ferraro was born and raised in Catania, a vibrant city on Sicily’s east coast where food isn’t just cooked—it’s celebrated. From the bustling fish markets to family kitchens beneath Mount Etna, her love for food began early.
After high school, Anna left Catania’s bold flavours behind for a new life in Australia—but she brought with her the heart, soul, and secrets of true Sicilian home cooking. At Ferraro’s – Taste of Sicily, her passion is baked into everything she touches. From slow-simmered sauces to her beloved homemade cannoli, Anna brings a mother’s care and a Nonna’s tradition to every dish. Her food doesn’t just feed—it comforts, connects, and keeps heritage alive. Whether it’s Traditional Carbonara, Lasagna layered with love, or a crisp, creamy cannolo, every bite is a taste of Catania—and the heart of the Ferraro family.
